A Deluxe Atlantic Designed to Go Lower Without Losing Precision

The Deluxe Atlantic Baritone carries the "modern-classic" spirit of the Atlantic range, with craftsmanship focused on sustain and stability, while adding a baritone scale length to explore lower registers. The Satin Walnut finish and refined details (7-ply binding, F-hole style tortoise pickguard) reinforce its identity: a characterful guitar made for musicians who want to step outside the standard 6-string framework.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

This D'Angelico is mainly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a precise instrument for low tunings (Drop, standard C, B, etc.). It excels in modern rock, metal, doom, post-rock, ambient, and film music, but remains relevant in the studio for doubling standard guitars with a broader and better-defined low-end foundation.

Sound Characteristics

The combination of solid maple (top) and solid swamp ash (back/sides) provides a balance between sharp attack, tight lows, and beautiful harmonics in the upper spectrum. The Set-Thru neck-through construction promotes generous sustain and even response across the entire neck, while the 26" / 660.4 mm scale length improves string tension for low tunings. The Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A4 pickups deliver an articulate, rich, and musical humbucker tone, with enough definition to maintain clarity under heavy distortion. The push-pull controls on volume and tone add tonal options to adapt the guitar for massive rhythm playing as well as more airy melodic lines.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original feel, prefer D'Angelico Electrozinc 10's (10-46) string sets for replacements. With its standard mono jack output, a high-quality 6.35 mm mono jack cable is recommended to preserve attack and output level, both on stage and in the studio.
