A Modern Semi-Hollow in the Spirit of D'Angelico
The Premier DC embodies the D'Angelico DNA: elegant aesthetics, true attention to detail, and a stage-oriented approach. With its double cutaway format and semi-hollow construction featuring a center block, it aims for a very contemporary balance between acoustic warmth, crisp attack, and feedback control, all in a Dark Iced Tea Burst finish that highlights the maple.
Who Is It For, and What Styles?
This D'Angelico is well suited for intermediate guitarists seeking an expressive and versatile guitar, while remaining accessible for a motivated beginner looking for an inspiring instrument. Its personality is particularly fitting for blues, jazz, soul, pop, and rock, with excellent tuning stability and comfort adapted for long sessions thanks to the C-profile neck.
Sound
The semi-hollow construction (top, back, and sides in maple) provides a dynamic response, clear highs, and a well-present low-midrange. The center block tightens the bass, improves sustain, and limits feedback effects, making the guitar very comfortable in crunch and moderate overdrive. The Supro Bolt Bucker Alnico V humbuckers favor a firm attack and singing mids: the neck pickup delivers round and silky tones, while the bridge pickup offers more bite for riffs and leads. The simple and effective electronics (2 volumes, 2 tones, 3-position selector) allow quick shaping of output level and brightness according to style.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
The guitar is strung with 10-46 gauge strings: you can maintain this gauge when replacing with electric string sets 10-46 to preserve the tension/attack balance. It is delivered with a gig bag, convenient for daily transport.

Questions frequently asked
Is the D'Angelico Premier DC Dark Iced Tea Burst suitable for left-handed guitarists?
This version is announced in a right-handed configuration.
Does a semi-hollow with a center block help reduce feedback?
The semi-hollow construction with a center block enhances sustain and tightens the response in the low end. It limits feedback effects, especially when playing with crunch and moderate overdrive. The maple body measures 25.4 mm in thickness.
What tone do the Supro Bolt Bucker Alnico V pickups offer?
The Supro Bolt Bucker Alnico V humbuckers deliver a firm attack and singing mids. The neck pickup favors a round and smooth register, while the bridge position provides more bite for riffs and leads.
Is the neck suitable for long playing sessions?
The glued maple neck has a C profile and a pau ferro fingerboard. Its 355 mm radius, 629 mm scale length, and 22 frets offer a comfortable grip suited for extended playing sessions.
What strings and case come with this guitar?
Factory-strung with 10-46 gauge strings, this guitar can accommodate electric strings of the same gauge to maintain string tension balance. A gig bag is included for everyday transport.
