What D16 Tekturon Is For

D16 Tekturon is a multitap delay plugin designed to go beyond simple signal repetition. While a classic delay mainly adds depth or synchronized echo, Tekturon becomes a full-fledged arrangement tool: you build sequences of repetitions, rhythmic responses, transitions, and evolving ambient layers over time.
It suits both mixing (widening a vocal, animating a guitar, adding depth to a synth) and sound design (cinematic effects, granular delays, complex percussive patterns). On drums or percussion, the matrix logic helps generate original grooves and off-beats. On harmonic sources, it allows creating musical, dense, and dynamic delay tails without losing mix clarity.

Main Features

The Delay Matrix: a delay programmed like a sequencer

The core of Tekturon is based on 16 independent delay lines organized in a fixed and readable topology called the "Delay Matrix." Rather than stacking taps abstractly, you work on a sequence of steps: each line represents a clearly identified step, and editing follows the logic of a step sequencer. The result: you immediately visualize the rhythmic structure of your repetitions and shape coherent patterns, even when they become complex.
This approach changes how a delay effect is used: instead of "placing an echo," you compose movement. It's particularly effective for making an arrangement breathe, creating tension before a drop, or transforming a sustained note into an animated texture.

Local Control: precision per line, limitless creativity

Each matrix line has its own dedicated parameters, allowing for rich and non-uniform repetitions. You can differentiate each step, introduce variation, and avoid the "carbon copy" effect typical of some multitap delays. This granular control is ideal for designing a progression: a first subtle repetition, a second brighter, a third more modulated, then a more diffuse ending, for example.
For quick use in production or performance, Tekturon includes mute buttons per line, placed for easy access. Their MIDI assignment allows you to "play" the matrix live: mute certain repetitions, trigger a rhythmic response, or open space in the mix at key moments without interrupting the creative flow.

Global Control: a master to tame all 16 lines

Beyond per-line settings, Tekturon offers global control from a master section. The benefit is twofold: on one hand, you keep the detail of fine-tuned work; on the other, you have immediate settings to unify the output, balance effect intensity, or adapt the delay to the track's context. This "two-tier" logic speeds up workflow: sculpt in detail, then adjust overall coherence in seconds.

Clear Interface, Presets, and Studio Integration

The plugin emphasizes a visual and intuitive presentation of the matrix, enabling quick control of the entire setup without getting lost in menus. Tekturon includes nearly 100 presets to start with musical bases (rhythmic, atmospheric, experimental), then refine according to your style and DAW.
Regarding ergonomics, multiple interface sizes are available, with HiDPI support to fit modern setups. Finally, MIDI Learn facilitates assigning a controller to manipulate parameters in real time, a particularly effective approach for automating transitions, accentuating fills, or creating dynamic break effects.
