The Duality Fuzz stands out with its "dual engine" approach: instead of offering a single texture, it provides two very different fuzz signatures. On one side, a saturation with a more angular and edgy sound, featuring a sawtooth wave sensation that grabs the attack. On the other, a harder, more loaded fuzz, crafted for heavy riffs and lines that need to remain massive in a mix. The idea is simple: to give you a sonic center of gravity that can shift from one universe to the other, or settle somewhere in between, without unnecessary complexity.

For whom, for which styles, and in what contexts?

This pedal is aimed at musicians who want an expressive fuzz, capable of being both a "color" effect and a true sustain engine. It is perfectly suited for bassists (and also works very well with guitar, synths, or drum machines) playing rock, stoner, metal, grunge, but also electro or more experimental projects seeking a sharp and synthetic texture.

In live settings, the Duality Fuzz delivers immediate presence and a dense feel under the fingers, ideal for making a line stand out in a powerful band. In the studio, it becomes a sound design tool: you can layer takes with different "Duality" settings to stack layers, or conversely choose a very specific setting to mark a chorus or bridge. On a pedalboard, it naturally finds its place before an octaver, before/after compression depending on the desired sound, or upstream of a preamp to further sculpt the mids.

Controls and design: efficiency serving the sound

The Duality Fuzz keeps it simple with a straightforward interface. The "Duality" control is the heart of the pedal: it allows you to vary the balance and character between the two fuzz circuits, moving from a more "razor-sharp" and articulated texture to a heavier, more saturated, more aggressive fuzz. The level control adjusts the output volume to match your clean tone, drive an amp input, or keep a very present fuzz without overloading the next stage.

For integration, there is a simple and reliable true bypass footswitch, a clearly visible LED to monitor activation, and True Bypass that preserves the signal when the effect is off. The connectivity is intentionally classic: one input and one output in 6.35mm Jack format, for quick setup whether on a minimalist effects board or a more complex chain.

The sound

The Duality Fuzz offers a saturation with a very textured grain, with a sense of material and relief that responds well to playing dynamics. The "sawtooth" side provides a more defined attack, very effective for maintaining clarity on pick-played notes, staccato phrases, or syncopated riffs. The second character, harder and higher-gain, delivers generous sustain and a wall of sound impression, ideal for heavy passages and dense arrangements.

Depending on your instrument and dynamics, the pedal can range from a relatively controlled fuzz to a wilder saturation, with behavior that encourages playing with attack intensity and right-hand position. On bass, it helps achieve a modern, thick, and present fuzz. On guitar, it can be used both to thicken a riff and to create a more synthetic and sharp fuzz, particularly inspiring with low tunings or sounds already rich in harmonics.
