A modern benchmark for transparent overdrive
Now a pedalboard classic, the Morning Glory establishes itself as an "amp-style" overdrive pedal: it doesn't aim to mask your tone but to enhance it with just the right amount of grit, warmth, and definition. In this V4, JHS optimizes ergonomics and adds valuable flexibility to switch from subtle drive to a more aggressive push, while maintaining the organic and musical feel that made it famous.
For which guitarist and styles?
The JHS Morning Glory Overdrive V4 is aimed at guitarists seeking a versatile overdrive pedal that's easy to integrate, from beginners to pros. It excels in blues, rock, pop, and indie, whether to thicken a clean tone, support an existing crunch, or serve as a transparent boost to stand out in a mix. Both in studio and live, it remains clear, responsive, and particularly comfortable on a pedalboard oriented towards "natural" sounds.

Questions frequently asked
Is the JHS Morning Glory V4 suitable for blues or lightly overdriven rock?
Its transparent overdrive preserves the guitar's tone and allows for a slight breakup edge or thickening of crunch. The Gain, Tone, and Volume controls enable precise adjustment of the saturation and output level.
How does the boost mode on the Morning Glory V4 work?
The boost mode is footswitch-activated to instantly switch to a second gain level. An external Red Remote, sold separately, can also control it. The LED changes from blue in standard mode to red in boost mode.
Is the sound too bright with this pedal?
A side bright-cut switch reduces treble when the guitar or amp produces an overly bright tone.
What power supply is required for this JHS overdrive?
The power supply is not included, and the current draw is specified at 43 mA.
What are the dimensions of the JHS Pedals Morning Glory V4?
The size is 127 x 66 x 54 mm with a weight of 290 g. The circuit features true bypass.
