A "Concert" Approach in the VORTEX Series
Modern sound systems increasingly borrow from professional audio standards, especially to better control projection and clarity. The Vortex 750 LA follows this logic: it features a design inspired by "Line Array" concert systems to offer a homogeneous reproduction, engineered to "carry" sound throughout the venue while remaining precise up close. The latest triphonic amplified system in the VORTEX series from Definitive Audio, it aims for an effective compromise between power, portability, and versatility.
Who It's For and Intended Uses
Thanks to its 2.1 architecture (two columns for mid-high frequencies and one dedicated bass subwoofer), the Vortex 750 LA is particularly suited for performances requiring solid bass and intelligible vocals: DJ sets, events, amplified acoustic concerts, small bands, singers, keyboardists, or event sound reinforcement. The integrated mixer facilitates quick setups both fixed and mobile: just connect your sources, adjust levels, and maintain a clean, manageable installation.
A Complete, Ready-to-Use Sound System
The Vortex 750 LA is delivered as a coherent set: 2 passive full-range columns and 1 powered subwoofer that centralizes connectivity and control. The columns, in "array" format, are designed to integrate easily into your stage setup, with two possible tilt angles (0deg or 7.5deg) to optimize coverage depending on audience height and distance.
Integrated Mixing: 6 Inputs and Field-Oriented Connectivity
The subwoofer includes a 6-input mixer designed for common needs: microphone/line inputs on combo XLR and 6.35mm Jack connectors with selector, 6.35mm Jack inputs for instruments or line sources, and a full auxiliary input (3.5mm mini Jack, RCA, and Bluetooth). To daisy-chain or send the signal to another system, a XLR Line Out is available, while the satellites connect via Speakon connectors.
DSP and Dynamics Processing: Effects, Equalization, Compressor
To shape your sound directly on the system, the Vortex 750 LA features a multi-effects DSP with 16 effects, as well as 2-band corrections to quickly adapt the tone to the room. A compressor is also included to better control dynamics (useful on vocals, DJ playback, or irregular sources), and LED indicators show operating status and clipping to secure your settings in real conditions.
Amplification and Build: Efficiency and Robustness
The amplification combines a Class D + AB design to balance efficiency and sound quality. The subwoofer cabinet is made of MDF with a durable black paint finish and a steel grille, while the satellites are made of ABS with steel grilles. For logistics, the system remains portable for its category (total weight: 30.3 kg), and power cables as well as speaker cables are included. A custom cover is provided for the satellites, convenient for protecting the equipment during transport.
Important Information: Speaker stands are not included.
