A New DAVE Iteration Designed for Live Performance
Designed to withstand the demands of regular gigs, the LD Systems DAVE 15 G4X follows an "all-in-one" approach: power, transport, connectivity, and quick setup. The system was completely redesigned and developed from scratch with a modernized design and field-oriented optimizations, while maintaining the spirit of the DAVE series: an active sound system capable of covering a wide range of applications, from amplified music to vocals.
Who Is It For and What Are the Uses?
The DAVE 15 G4X targets DJs, bands, solo artists, hosts, small ensembles, and event organizers who want a system that is easy to deploy yet comprehensive enough to handle multiple sources without extra gear. Thanks to its integrated mixer, it suits configurations such as vocals + instrument, keyboards/synths, a small electronic drum kit, or music playback in bars, multipurpose rooms, or private events, with special attention to speech intelligibility.
Questions frequently asked
Is the LD Systems DAVE 15 G4X suitable for a DJ or a small band?
This model delivers 1030 W RMS and reaches 124 dB SPL continuous. It meets the needs of DJs, solo artists, bands, and small ensembles for amplified music as well as vocals.
What inputs are available on the built-in mixer?
Channels 1 and 2 accept microphone, Hi-Z instrument, or line source, with bass/treble EQ and three reverb presets. Channels 3 and 4 receive stereo line sources such as a keyboard or synthesizer. Channels 5 and 6 allow adding sources like karaoke or a television.
Can music be streamed via Bluetooth on this system?
Bluetooth streaming is integrated to connect a smartphone or tablet, and an SPDIF input allows connection of a dedicated digital source.
What is the speaker and subwoofer configuration?
The system includes a bass-reflex subwoofer with a 15-inch woofer and two satellites each equipped with an 8-inch midrange driver. The specified frequency response at -10 dB ranges from 33 Hz to 20 kHz. Each satellite weighs 9.7 kg, while the subwoofer weighs 34.5 kg.
Can the DAVE 15 G4X be installed in a cluster configuration?
It is possible to bring the two satellites closer above the subwoofer using an optional T-mount. The Cluster mode uses an M/S split designed to reduce interference when the speakers are close together. An M20 mount is integrated into the subwoofer for this setup.
