A "next generation" Whammy: the legendary DNA, now with tuning capabilities

The Whammy is one of those instantly recognizable pitch shifter pedals: a proudly digital grain, interval leaps impossible by hand, and unique expressiveness thanks to the expression pedal. The Whammy DT carries on this legacy and expands it with a dedicated Drop Tune section: you get both the classic Whammy effect (bends, harmonies, detune, dive bomb) and a modern tool to change tuning with one click, whether in the studio or on stage.

Who is the Whammy DT for, and in which styles does it make a difference?

This pedal is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want to broaden their vocabulary: alternative rock riffs, metal in down-tuned settings, electro textures, experimental atmospheres, or "synth" style lines based on pitch slides. Live, it avoids the need to multiply guitars (standard, drop, low tuning) and becomes a true creativity booster. In the studio, it allows stacking clean harmony vocals, doubling a line at the octave, or creating vertiginous dive bomb drops.

Controls, modes, and connectivity: designed for foot operation

The Whammy DT combines two sections selectable via two switches with indicator LEDs: the Whammy part (pitch bending and harmonies) and the Drop Tune part (capo/retuning). The expression pedal controls the pitch range for ultra-musical transitions, and a momentary footswitch allows activating the effect only while held down. For pedalboard integration, it features true bypass (with selectable DSP bypass), a MIDI input to control expression and configuration changes, and a dedicated input for an optional 3-button external footswitch (FS3X) to navigate settings hands-free.

Sound

Expect a clear and sharp pitch shifting with a proudly digital signature that cuts through the mix perfectly. In Whammy mode, pitch rises and falls remain very clear, ideal for "impossible" bends and immediate harmonizations. Detune modes add subtle thickness (like doubling), while the Drop Tune section is designed to preserve attack and stability during tuning changes. This is typically the kind of effect favored by expressive and creative players like Jack White, Matt Bellamy, Tom Morello, Steve Vai, or Tim Henson.
