Duesenberg Starplayer TV DLX Light Antique Burst + case

The Essentials to Know About the Duesenberg Starplayer TV DLX Light Antique Burst Guitar + Case

• Semi-hollow format with sustain block: the "semi-hollow" character (air, depth, dynamics) with precise attack and excellent control when increasing gain.

• Two Duesenberg GrandVintage Humbucker pickups: a balanced pair to switch from crystalline cleans to thick saturations without losing definition.

• Radiator Tremola: smooth, musical vibrato designed to remain stable, ideal for subtle vibratos as well as more expressive accents.

• DLX finish: double f-holes, floating transparent pickguard, diamond inlays, and luxurious 5-ply binding, with included Custom Line Case and certificate.

The Starplayer TV DLX: Duesenberg DNA in a Deluxe Version

The Starplayer TV DLX follows the lineage of the Starplayer TV models, known for their robust semi-hollow design and versatility. This "DLX" version takes the experience further with high-end details designed for both playability and aesthetics: double f-holes highlighted by bindings, floating transparent pickguard, diamond inlays, and Deluxe 5-ply binding. An approach that preserves the classic spirit of the range while delivering a more luxurious and instantly recognizable visual signature.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

This Duesenberg is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a premium, comfortable, and inspiring guitar, capable of performing well on stage and in the studio. The semi-hollow format and dual humbucker configuration naturally cover jazz, blues, rock, soul, pop, and americana genres. The Radiator Tremola adds an expressive dimension ideal for enriching rhythm playing, highlighting melodies, or adding subtle movement to open chords.

Sound Characteristics

The semi-hollow construction with sustain block combines two worlds: a broad and "alive" resonance in clean tones, and better sustain under saturation thanks to the central block. The double f-holes contribute to this sense of openness, with a rich midrange and strong projection. The laminated spruce top promotes attack and precision, while the laminated flamed maple back and sides provide clarity, definition, and brightness for clear chords and well-articulated arpeggios.

The two Duesenberg GrandVintage Humbuckers offer a classic and versatile palette: neck position delivers round and articulate tones for jazz, blues, or soul; bridge position adds bite and density for riffs and leads. The 1 volume, 1 tone wiring and 3-position rotary selector keep it simple: quick, effective, and intuitive controls without overcomplicating ergonomics.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The Duesenberg Custom 010/050 strings come factory-installed and are an excellent starting point to preserve tension balance and vibrato behavior. If you want to stay true to the instrument's spirit, using the same gauge (010-013-017-028-042-050) is a safe bet after restringing.
