A compact reissue of a 60s classic

The FFM2 Germanium is inspired by the "pre-silicon" Fuzz Face models from the 1966-1968 period, renowned for their thick saturation, natural softness, and very organic response to playing. This Mini version retains the ultra-simple philosophy of the original (two controls, one footswitch), while adopting a more modern and practical size for integration into current setups. The model was announced as available from February 2013.

Simple controls, musical results

The Fuzz Face Mini FFM2 goes straight to the point with two potentiometers: Fuzz to adjust the saturation level and density, and Volume to set the output level to drive the amp as you wish. The on/off switch is accompanied by a status LED, handy on stage.

Regarding connectivity, it includes the essentials: a 6.35mm Jack input and a 6.35mm Jack output. The true bypass preserves your tone when the pedal is off, an important feature if you build a pedalboard oriented towards vintage sounds but demanding clarity.

The sound

The FFM2 Germanium delivers a warm, round, and harmonically rich fuzz, with that slightly "spongy" and creamy character that makes germanium circuits charming.
