A "Goldburst" Version with a Decidedly Vintage Character in the Spirit of the T64/v

The T64/v-GB Goldburst fits within the aesthetic of the great hollowbody "thinline" guitars that marked the history of rock, blues, and soul: a resonant body but thinner, modern playability, and equipment designed for the stage. This "Goldburst" variant emphasizes a strong visual presence, enhanced by an antique lacquer finish, ivoroid binding, and aged nickel hardware. The choice of renowned components (Lollar, Bigsby, Gotoh, Switchcraft) clearly places this model in a "premium vintage" approach: character, detail, and immediately inspiring musicality.

Who Is the T64/v-GB For? From Roots Blues to Alternative Rock

Thanks to its hollowbody thinline body and P-90s, the T64/v-GB is particularly suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive guitar capable of shifting from delicate playing to a stronger attack without losing nuance. In clean and light crunch tones, it excels at blues, roots jazz, soul, vintage rock, indie, and anything requiring "grain" and presence. With more gain, the P-90s maintain great clarity while offering the typical bite that cuts through the mix, ideal for riffs and leads that "speak".

Sound: The Bite of P-90s, the Body's Breath, the Precision of Ebony

The combination of a laminated maple top, back, and sides and a hollowbody thinline format provides a highly sought-after balance: more air and projection than a solid body, while remaining more controllable than a traditional large jazz body. Maple delivers a clear attack, precise highs, and clean lows, helping the guitar stay defined even when the amp starts to saturate. This construction also highlights right-hand nuances: fingerstyle, light pick attack, palm-muting... everything translates with finesse.

The two Lollar Dog Ear P-90 pickups are at the heart of the sonic identity: a warm and singing neck pickup, perfect for round and expressive lines, and a sharper bridge pickup with lively upper mids that add dimension to chords and solos. The 3-position selector switch facilitates quick changes during playing, while the electronics (250k Audio Linear potentiometers and 0.022 uF capacitors) contribute to a smooth tone response: you can truly sculpt the tone from bright and snappy to a darker velvety sound.

The maple neck provides stability and attack, while the ebony fingerboard adds a faster feel under the fingers and very precise articulation, especially appreciated for double-stop lines, enriched chords, and controlled bends. Finally, the Bigsby B7 invites musical and subtle vibrato (shimmer, surf, rockabilly style), more expressive than a simple left-hand vibrato and perfectly suited to the vintage spirit of the instrument.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original setup, favor .011 - .049 gauge strings (as indicated). A standard strap will suit standing play, and the hard case is included for transport and protection.
