What Hollywood Strings 2 Is For
Hollywood Strings 2 is a cinematic string sound library focused on proximity and control. It is designed to produce ultra-expressive string arrangements for film scoring, pop, orchestral rock, electronic music, video games, or any production where strings need to be present in the mix without imposed excessive room reverb. From fragile pianissimo to fortissimo passages, the recording aims to be clear, dry, and adjustable to easily fit any style.

The library covers essential articulations (legato, détaché, pizzicato, staccato, spiccato, marcato, col legno) and more textural styles like flautando, with fine nuance capture. The patches offer playability designed for modern writing, including playable trills and runs, allowing quick transitions from an intimate melodic line to a more energetic writing style.
A close sound, without compromising depth
The key concept is very close miking: more grain, air, and attack precision, with very little bleed on the close mics. Then, you choose the size: add main, mid-field, and surround to regain a wider perspective, or stay on close for a foreground string, ideal for hybrid arrangements and dense mixes.
