ProDrummer 2 - Joe Chiccarelli is a virtual drum instrument designed to create realistic and produced drum tracks, from songwriting to final mix. It is aimed at pop, rock, and indie producers as well as film composers and EDM creators who want to work quickly while maintaining a high degree of customization. The workflow combines kit selection, MIDI groove choice, and full arrangement building, with simple export to your DAW.
Main Features
Recorded kits, pre-mixed presets, and advanced customization
Volume 2 offers about 40 GB of kits and grooves, produced by Joe Chiccarelli and Doug Rogers, with drums played by Matt Chamberlain. Elements notably include Craviotto, Ludwig, Tama, Slingerland, Gretsch, as well as Istanbul and Zildjian cymbals and hi-hats. Recordings were made in multiple environments, with rooms ranging from dry to very reverberant, to instantly adapt the depth to your production.
Integrated mixing: 16 channels, bleed, room mics, and routing
The 16-channel mixer gives you control over each drum and cymbal, with bleed and ambient mic control. Each channel has its own processing and routing options, ideal for a modern, punchy mix or, conversely, a more organic sound depending on the style.
Grooves, Songbuilder, and DAW integration
With 14,000+ MIDI grooves, a search engine, a Songbuilder sequencer, and Sync to DAW and Drag and Drop features, you can assemble a structure (intro, verse, chorus, breaks) directly in ProDrummer, then drag the MIDI tracks into your audio workstation to finalize the arrangement.
Integrated processing to shape the sound
The included tools go far beyond a simple sample player: SSL processing (EQ, compression, transient designer, stereo bus compressor), Ohmicide for multiband saturation and aggressive textures, amp simulator with 80 presets, as well as a convolution reverb with 726 presets. Add to that a Velocity Processor and a velocity graph to control punch and dynamics, and you get drums that react like a real drummer in the mix.
