The Sound

The poplar body delivers a balanced tone with a sharp attack and good responsiveness, ideal for working right-hand precision. The maple neck enhances clarity and a "snappy" character, while the laurel fingerboard slightly rounds off the upper spectrum to maintain a warmer grain. On the electronics side, the PB splitcoil pickup provides solid lows and a present low-midrange, perfect for holding the groove, whereas the J pickup adds definition and bite. With 2 volume controls, you blend the two tonal characters, and the tone control allows you to shift from a bright, percussive sound to a darker, vintage timbre.
