Wildwood at Eko: Wood in Its Raw State
With the "Wildwood" series, Eko highlights the natural texture of the wood species. The satin "open pore" finish preserves the grain and reduces the thickness of the varnish for a freer, more personal response. The Tero 701 Wildwood combines a paulownia body with black hardware and a flamed maple pickguard for an organic and elegant look.
Who Is It For and Which Styles?
Ideal for ambitious beginners as well as intermediate guitarists, this Tele-style electric excels in pop, funk, blues, indie, country, and alternative rock. The SSS configuration and 5-position selector offer a wide palette, easy to exploit in rehearsals, on stage, or in the home studio.
The Sound
The three single-coil pickups deliver a clear and dynamic range: a sharp and precise bridge pickup for twang, a rounder and "glassy" neck pickup, and a balanced middle pickup. The intermediate positions, wired in parallel, provide that famous scooped "quack," perfect for funk and arpeggios. The paulownia body responds quickly under the fingers, while the torrefied maple neck/fingerboard adds controlled brightness and sustain. The steel 3-saddle bridge enhances attack and definition, and the Volume/Tone controls allow easy shaping of the spectrum.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
- Electric string set 10-46 (original setup) to maintain the feel and tension balance.
