The EHX 22500 Looper is aimed both at musicians who want to practice with a metronome and performers who compose in real time. In blues, rock, pop, funk, post-rock, ambient, or experimental music, its two loops allow switching from one progression to another, bringing in/out textures, or keeping a "drone" loop while a second part evolves.

On a pedalboard, it becomes a live control center (stops, tap tempo, rhythms), while in a home studio it serves as a quick tool to capture stereo ideas, stack overdubs, and easily archive your takes on an SDHC card.

Two stereo loops, smart modes, and connectivity designed for creation

The heart of the 22500 is its management of two loops (Loop A and Loop B) with independent or synchronized playback. In Sequential mode, you alternate A and B like two sections of a song (ideal for verse/chorus). In Parallel mode, you launch both loops simultaneously to create denser overlays (rhythm + pads, or guitar + bass, for example).

The 22500 integrates essential performance controls: adjustable tempo, programmable loop and overdub lengths, Undo/Redo to revert the last overdub, as well as a choice between Quantize (to realign your loops) and free mode (for more organic takes). Regarding textures, the Reverse and Octave functions open the door to ambient atmospheres, reversed transitions, or pitch/speed variations to breathe life into your arrangement.

To vary playing contexts, the pedal offers 16 built-in drum loops and a selectable mic input with phantom power, handy for vocals, miked acoustic instruments, or quick takes without an audio interface. Finally, the USB port facilitates backup and restoration of loops on a computer, and the programmable 3rd footswitch (Stop or Tap Tempo) enhances comfort during concerts.
