A "Second Generation of Switching" switcher designed as the nerve center of the pedalboard

Lehle designed the D.Loop SGoS as a pedalboard management tool: the idea is not to color the sound, but to control the signal path with impeccable switching quality. Thanks to its gold contact relays and true bypass, your pedals no longer "weigh down" the guitar when disabled, and you regain that direct instrument-to-amp connection feel more easily. The SGoS suffix also indicates a modern approach: the D.Loop can operate alone but is also made to communicate and synchronize with other switchers of the same family (and MIDI equipment) in scalable setups.

Who is the Lehle D.Loop SGoS for, and in which setups does it make a difference?

The D.Loop SGoS is aimed at guitarists and bassists who want a clean, reliable, and fast-to-control pedalboard, both live and in the studio. It is especially relevant if you use many true bypass pedals, long cables, or a stereo chain (delays, reverbs, multi-effects, dual amps, wet/dry, etc.).

It suits both the experienced musician who wants to program loop combinations and those seeking a simple solution to activate/deactivate two effect sections without loss of clarity. And if some of your pedals lack volume control, the built-in buffer/boost lets you balance levels or even add a real solo boost with your foot.

Features and control: two independent loops, activatable buffer, intuitive programming

The Lehle D.Loop SGoS includes 2 effects loops (Loop A and Loop B) with dedicated Send/Return, usable separately. You also have an activatable high-impedance buffer with an embedded gain potentiometer: it can simply "refresh" the signal (useful for preserving dynamics and highs on a long pedalboard) or boost up to 12 dB to push a preamp, tube amp, or drive pedal.

Foot control relies on 3 footswitches (Buffer, Loop A, Loop B) and a mode system: in direct use, each footswitch controls its function. In programmable modes, you can store combinations (for example Buffer + Loop A for a rhythm sound, then Loop B alone for lead) and recall these states with a single press. The D.Loop SGoS can also receive and send MIDI Program Change commands via a 6.35mm stereo Jack (TRS) connector, convenient for remote control or integration into an SGoS switcher network with a simple stereo cable.

Sound quality

A good switcher must be invisible, and that is exactly the philosophy of the D.Loop SGoS: when loops are off, the signal is routed to remain as pure as possible, without loss of definition or a "muffled" feeling on the speaker. The benefit is twofold: you retain the instrument's attack and dynamics, and you avoid unused pedals, even true bypass ones, from degrading the entire pedalboard.

The buffer/boost is more than just a volume recovery: it serves as an impedance matching device and helps restore a stronger, more stable signal, especially in stereo or with long cables. In boost mode, it can help achieve a richer, more musical drive by pushing the input stage of an amp or preamp, while remaining controllable thanks to the gain adjustment.
