A "Speaking" Effect in the Envelope Filter Family

The Twin Tuned Filters belongs to the tradition of dynamic filtering effects that transform the attack of your playing into tonal movement. Here, the originality comes from the simultaneous sweep of two narrow filters: instead of a simple "auto wah," you get a more articulated texture, close to a formant (the sensation of vowels), perfect for highlighting a riff or giving personality to a clean line.

For Whom, Which Styles, and In What Contexts?

This pedal is aimed at guitarists and bassists (or keyboards and synths in mono output) who want to add a vocal grain and organic animation to their sound. It excels in funk (chicken scratch, syncopated riffs), in rock to thicken a lead, and in electro/ambient to create lively sweeps on clean or slightly overdriven sounds.
In the studio, it brings an immediately identifiable character, useful for differentiating a take without overloading the arrangement. Live, it remains intuitive: the envelope response follows your right hand, making nuances easier without using an expression pedal.

Controls, Design, and Power Supply: Essentials for Simple and Reliable Use

The heart of the Twin Tuned Filters is an analog circuit designed to preserve dynamics and playing feel. The effect relies on two narrow filters that move under the envelope's action: the harder you attack, the more the sweep expresses itself, allowing you to go from a subtle shimmer to a very "speaking" sound depending on your touch.
The true bypass ensures a direct signal when the effect is off. Regarding power, the pedal can run on a 9V battery (included), or via an optional power adapter, convenient for a continuously powered pedalboard.

Sound Character

The Twin Tuned Filters' sonic signature is a very marked vocal-like rendering: the two narrow filters precisely sculpt the midrange, producing attacks that "speak" and a presence that easily stands out in a mix. On a clean sound, you get a clear and percussive movement; with overdrive or fuzz upstream, the filter becomes more aggressive and can take on an almost synthetic color. The dynamic response encourages expressive playing: the more controlled your attack, the more musical and articulated the effect becomes.
