A Coronet faithful to the original series, with modern adjustments
Among Epiphone's first solid body models, the Coronet established itself in the late '50s as a straightforward and effective riff machine. This USA-made version retains the aesthetic codes of the 1958-1959 Coronets (symmetrical double cutaway shape, "three-sided" headstock, "Bikini" headstock badge, and period-style pickguard), while incorporating improvements designed for contemporary playing, notably a SlimTaper neck profile and a slightly thinner body for better balance.

The Epiphone Coronet is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a simple, inspiring electric guitar that is highly responsive to touch. Its double cutaway design facilitates playing high up the neck, and its single P-90 encourages a "plug and play" approach. The sound
The combination of mahogany (body and neck) + wraparound bridge promotes a dense midrange, solid attack, and natural sustain-perfect for riffs and melodic lines that need to stay present in the mix. The P-90 Soapbar delivers an open, gritty, and highly expressive tone: it responds strongly to right-hand dynamics, shifting from biting clean tones to thick crunch simply by adjusting playing intensity and the Master Volume. The Master Tone control rounds off the highs for warmer sounds while maintaining clear definition.
