Essential Information About the Epiphone Crestwood Custom Polaris White Guitar

  • Rare vintage look: symmetrical double-cut Wilshire style, Polaris White finish, transparent "butterfly" pickguard, and iconic Epiphone details.

  • Two PRO Mini Humbuckers: precise attack, tight grain, and excellent clarity in both chords and riffs.

  • Modern comfort: glued mahogany neck with Medium C profile, Indian laurel fingerboard with 12" / 305 mm radius, 22 Medium Jumbo frets.

  • Tremotone Vibrato + LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge: tuning stability and expressiveness with controlled vibrato.

A Crestwood Revived, True to the Spirit of the 1958-1959 Models

Introduced in 1958 and renamed Crestwood Custom in 1959, the Crestwood established itself as an important milestone for Epiphone: a solid body with a distinctive style, and the first Epiphone full-body model equipped with two pickups. This reissue returns to the historical codes (symmetrical silhouette, compact Kalamazoo "3+3" headstock, Bikini badge, butterfly pickguard) while incorporating modern choices designed for the stage, such as CTS potentiometers electronics and LockTone hardware.

For Which Guitarist and Styles?

The Crestwood Custom is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want an electric guitar with vintage character but suitable for everyday use. The mini humbuckers are particularly suited for rock, garage, indie, pop, and blues: enough bite to cut through the mix while maintaining a denser and quieter base than single coils. The Tremotone vibrato adds an expressive touch ideal for melodic lines, open chords, and subtle effects.

Sound

The mahogany body + neck duo promotes a present midrange, solid low end, and natural sustain, enhanced by the glued neck joint. The PRO Mini Humbuckers offer a more focused and articulated sound than full-size humbuckers: tighter lows, clearer highs, and excellent note separation, useful in both crunch and clean tones. The electronics with 2 volumes and 2 tones (CTS potentiometers) allow fine control of output level and brightness, while the 3-position selector switch facilitates quick changes during playing. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge with Graph Tech TUSQ saddles helps stabilize tuning and preserve attack, and the Tremotone adds a musical vibrato, ranging from subtle shimmer to more pronounced variations.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

For transport and protection, Epiphone suggests compatible options: EpiLite case (711106481579), hard case (711106261447), and gig bag (711106261980).
