Essential Information About the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird V Reissue Maestro Vibrola Left-Handed Guitar - "Polaris White"

  • 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck-through construction with mahogany body wings for exemplary sustain and vibration transmission.

  • Two Gibson USA Firebird Alnico 5 mini-humbuckers delivering the bright attack and tight grain that made the 1963 model legendary.

  • Maestro Vibrola + ABR-1 bridge for smooth vibratos and reliable tuning stability, complemented by Kluson "banjo" tuners.

  • Premium electronics (CTS, Mallory, Switchcraft) and Inspired by Gibson Custom hard case included. Left-handed model.

An Automotive Design Turned Stage Icon

Designed in 1963 by designer Ray Dietrich, the Firebird was Gibson's first neck-through guitar. This Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom reissue faithfully reproduces the historic codes of the Model V, which captivated Johnny Winter, members of the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Phil Manzanera. Here, the "reverse" aesthetic and period details are combined at an accessible price without compromising the vintage spirit.

Who Is It For and What Styles?

Designed for demanding left-handed guitarists, it suits intermediate to advanced levels. Its natural versatility covers blues, classic rock, vintage hard rock, alternative rock, and pop-rock, while offering excellent definition in open chord playing as well as singing solos.

Sound Characteristics

The Gibson USA Firebird mini-humbuckers with Alnico 5 magnets deliver focused mids, chiseled highs, and tight lows: sharper and more open than a full-sized humbucker, yet denser than a single coil. The neck-through construction increases longitudinal rigidity and promotes long, consistent sustain. The ABR-1 bridge provides attack and precision, while the Maestro Vibrola offers expressive inflections without altering the tonal character. The setup delivers a quick response, great volume knob dynamics, and a distinctive "chime" in intermediate positions.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To enjoy the guitar immediately, plan for a quality 1/4" TS instrument cable and a standard strap (classic strap buttons). A guitar stand type stand is also suitable. The dedicated hard case is included.
