A Hybrid Design Aimed at Breaking Away from "Classic DSP Delays"

The Rose does not aim to stack algorithms like a multi-effects unit: it relies on a deliberately different architecture. At its core, a dedicated, "overmodulated," highly precise digital delay line is combined with a fully analog circuit to handle the most musical elements of delay: mixing, filtering, and feedback. The result: a pedal that reacts and sits in the signal chain in a very organic way, while offering modern possibilities that are sometimes surprising... always inspiring.

Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?

The Rose is designed for guitarists (and more broadly musicians) who want a modulated delay capable of going beyond "clean" and predictable repeats. It suits both intermediate players seeking an expressive delay and advanced users building textures, drones, "unreal" tape effects, or cinematic atmospheres.

It excels in ambient, post-rock, indie, electronic, experimental styles but remains formidable for thickening sounds in blues and rock thanks to its analog filtering and fine feedback control. On stage, its performance features (HotSwitch, reverse, tap tempo) make it very dynamic. In the studio, it becomes a sound design tool: micro-timing, pitch modulation, repeats that twist and reorganize within the mix.

Controls, Modes, and Key Features

The interface prioritizes immediacy with 6 touch buttons : Mix, Feedback, Depth, Delay, Filter, Rate. Each acts musically, and together they allow you to sculpt the repeats like a true instrument: precise dosing of the processed signal, modulation intensity and speed, echo filtering, and control of the number of repeats up to controlled self-oscillations.

Modulation is one of the main playgrounds: you have several waveforms (sine, square, random, envelope, and external CV control) and a very wide sweep behavior ranging from 1/2 to 2x the delay time. A striking feature: this movement is accompanied by pitch modulation of up to plus or minus one octave, ideal for delay vibratos, unstable chorus effects, or fully embraced "detuned" textures.

For live use, the Rose includes an assignable HotSwitch (tap tempo, delay repeat, modulation hold, modulation reset, A/B). Add to that phase inversion and reverse delay : you get a palette ranging from wide, sumptuous delay to rewind, breath, and flip effects, very effective for transitions and atmospheres.

The delay time covers a spectacular range: from 10 seconds down to 10 microseconds. For even more space, a multiplier (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x) allows reaching up to 50 seconds : perfect for near-sampling loops, evolving pads, or repeats that become a sonic material in their own right.

Regarding pedalboard integration, an input level switch (Line or Instrument) facilitates use with guitar, synth, or effects in insert. Finally, the dedicated TRS input (Expression / Auxiliary / MIDI) opens the door to precise external control, to automate or "play" parameters in real time.

Sound Character

The Rose stands out with a very identifiable repeat grain: precise and clear when you want it, but capable of becoming alive, undulating, and unstable as soon as you push modulation and feedback. The analog circuit for mix, filter, and feedback brings a sense of substance and depth, with echoes that integrate naturally into the signal instead of merely layering on top.

In subtle settings, it delivers a spacious, "luxurious" delay, ideal for thickening a clean tone, adding rhythmic depth, or a discreet halo. In extreme settings, it becomes an experimental tool: wavering pitch, stretching repeats, reverse that disrupts attacks, controllable self-oscillations... A pedal crafted for musicians who want their delay to respond to their playing and inspire new ideas.
