What UltraReverb Is For
UltraReverb is a reverb plug-in designed to place your vocals, acoustic instruments, synths, and effects in a coherent space, from the most realistic to the most experimental. It caters to both mixing needs (gluing a vocal into the production, adding depth to a snare, widening a pad) and post-production and sound design uses (cinematic ambiances, modulated textures, deconstructed reverb tails). Thanks to its integrated processing, you can sculpt space and dynamics without multiplying insertions in your DAW.
Main Features
9 types of reverb to cover all spaces
UltraReverb combines nine reverb effects to vary room sizes, proximity sensation, and tail density: Halls, Chambers, Rooms, Plates, and Ambience. Each algorithm aims to reproduce key elements of a physical environment, from early reflections to the progressive increase of echo density, up to a smooth and musical decay of the reverb tail.
A complete workflow with integrated effects
The plug-in combines reverb and essential processing for a "ready-to-mix" output: you can add a stereo delay before or after the reverb and sync it to your session tempo for perfectly timed repeats. On the dynamics side, the compressor can be placed pre or post reverb, with key input to control reverb more intelligently (for example, ducking on the lead vocal).
Advanced multi-stage equalization
To keep reverb clean and clear in a dense mix, UltraReverb includes four distinct equalizers: Pre-EQ, Post-EQ, Reverb EQ, and Delay EQ. Each is a 3-band parametric EQ, allowing you to clean up lows before processing, brighten the tail, control sibilance on a vocal, or "darken" a delay without affecting the source.
Creative tools: randomization, modulation, and LoFi
To break away from overly "perfect" spaces, UltraReverb offers randomization of the reverb tail inspired by the legendary Random setting of the H949 Harmonizer. Add to that controls for Modulation Rate and Depth to bring movement and width, as well as a LoFi mode ranging from subtle wear to pronounced degradation, ideal for modern textures, vintage ambiances, or transition effects.

Questions frequently asked
Is Eventide UltraReverb compatible with macOS and Windows?
Compatibility includes macOS 10.14 or later, on Intel and Apple Silicon processors, as well as Windows 10 or later.
What types of reverbs are available?
Nine algorithms are included: Hall 1 and 2, Chamber 1 and 2, Room 1 and 2, Plate 1 and 2, and Ambience. This selection allows shaping of early reflections and decay based on the desired space.
Can a tempo-synced delay be used in UltraReverb?
A stereo delay can be inserted before or after the reverb, with synchronization to the session tempo. Its dedicated EQ, a 3-band parametric EQ, allows independent shaping of the repeats.
How to clean up a reverb tail in a dense mix?
Four independent equalizers are provided: Pre-EQ, Post-EQ, Reverb EQ, and Delay EQ. Each offers 3 parametric bands. The Reverb EQ notably allows control over the frequency content of the reverb tail.
Does the compressor allow ducking of reverb on a vocal?
The compressor can be placed pre- or post-reverb and features a key input. Reverb ducking driven by a lead vocal can thus be configured.
