What Noisy 2 Is For
Noisy 2 is a virtual instrument designed for musicians and producers who want to play the sound as much as program it. Its playground: acoustic-synthetic timbres, organic textures, animated layers, and expressive leads, with a response feel close to an instrument. Whether you compose electronic music, pop, film music, or experimental atmospheres, Noisy 2 allows you to quickly move from an inspiring preset to a custom sound, while maintaining a playful and performable approach.
Two philosophies coexist: an MPE mode to exploit pressure, glide, and expressive dimensions of compatible controllers, and a classic mode to control modulation with a mod wheel or standard MIDI knobs. The result: a palette of animated and "living" sounds that fit both studio and live performance settings.
Main Features
A next-generation MPE mode, made for expression
Noisy 2 was designed for immediate use with expressive controllers. The MPE mode offers new playing interactions and a more direct control feel: every gesture becomes a source of musical variation, ideal for moving textures, nuanced attacks, smooth transitions, and more organic performances.
A hybrid engine: acoustic resonators + analog colors
The core sound of Noisy 2 merges acoustic resonators and elements inspired by analog synthesis to create timbres that are both familiar and surprising. Modal synthesis brings a "modal-acoustic" freshness particularly effective for percussive sounds, resonant pads, textured plucks, and harmonically rich drones.
On the character side, Noisy 2 introduces a more "analog-style" facet: a pulse width modulation (PWM) resonator, more filtering options, and an enhanced soft clipper with feedback to add density, grain, and presence in the mix.
Improved Noise block: richer textures, broader horizons
The Noise block evolves with meticulously crafted noise types, useful both to thicken a patch and to build granular materials, breaths, attacks, or "foley-synth" atmospheres. This approach strengthens Noisy 2's acoustic-synthetic dimension and facilitates the creation of expressive, detailed, and immersive sounds.
Simple, playful, and efficient sound design workflow
Noisy 2 is designed to speed up creation: you start from an inspiring preset, then quickly sculpt the character thanks to a deliberately playable and results-oriented engine. The goal is not to multiply complex pages but to let you explore, layer, and animate your sounds without breaking creative momentum.
A massive library, adapted to all controllers
Noisy 2 includes a very extensive preset collection, split between MPE mode and non-MPE mode. Whether you play on a standard keyboard, a pad controller, or an expressive controller, you have a wide choice of immediately usable sounds, including layered variants ("layers") to thicken your productions and add breadth to your arrangements.

Questions frequently asked
Is Noisy 2 compatible with an MPE keyboard?
The MPE mode supports pressure, glide, and expression dimensions of compatible controllers, including Osmose, Seaboard, and Push 3. It was specifically designed for Osmose and Touché (SE).
Can Noisy 2 be used with a standard MIDI keyboard?
A non-MPE mode allows control via modulation wheel or button and knob MIDI controllers. The non-MPE library includes 700 main presets and 1,400 "layer" presets.
What sounds does Expressive E Noisy 2 allow to create?
Its engine combines acoustic resonators, modal synthesis, and analog-inspired colors. A PWM resonator, multiple filtering options, and a soft clipper with feedback enable shaping textured plucks, resonant pads, or harmonic drones. The Noise section provides noise types intended for attacks, breaths, and granular textures.
What is the minimum system requirement for Noisy 2?
On macOS, compatibility covers macOS 11 Big Sur through macOS 15 Sequoia, on Apple Silicon and Intel processors; Windows 10 or later is required on PC. The announced minimum specs include an Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, plus 4 GB of RAM.
How does the Noisy 2 license work?
The license uses PACE iLok, with no hardware dongle required, and allows up to 3 activations.
