The CANTO 5CA Black belongs to the FBT Install Canto series, designed to meet the needs of integrators and public venues. Made in Italy, it combines a sober aesthetic (black color) with a reliability-focused design, featuring simple implementation and directly accessible controls. Its discreet size facilitates integration into environments where audio must remain high-performing while visually unobtrusive.

An active speaker for close-range sound reinforcement, clear voice, and background music

The FBT CANTO 5CA is intended for installations requiring clean and intelligible sound at short to medium distances: meeting rooms, conference spaces, classrooms, retail stores, museums, bars and restaurants, or discreet reinforcement in a multipurpose room. Thanks to the Line/Mic level switch, it can accept a line-level source (mixer, player, DSP) or a microphone source depending on the configuration, while maintaining straightforward ergonomics.

Its frequency response from 70Hz to 20KHz and max continuous SPL of 114dB (117dB peak) make it a coherent solution for voice, amplified speech, and dynamic background music, while remaining compact and easy to place.

Class D Amplification: efficiency and control

The CANTO 5CA relies on Class D amplification, suited for installation use thanks to its energy efficiency and headroom. It delivers 100+50W RMS power (LF+HF) and reaches up to 200+100W max power (LF+HF), maintaining performance even when volume rises or the environment becomes noisier.

4 DSP presets and HPF filter: adapt the speaker to the room

The 4-preset DSP switch allows quick adjustment of the speaker's behavior depending on placement and use (for example, whether the speaker is near a wall, used for voice, or for wider listening). The HPF filter helps control the low end when the speaker works alongside a subwoofer or when you want to limit bass frequencies to gain clarity and headroom.

Simple XLR chaining

The 3-pin female XLR input and 3-pin male XLR Link output facilitate integration into a professional audio line. You can thus feed a second speaker or distribute the signal to another point, while keeping clean and standardized cabling.
