Thanks to its 2-way active design, the CANTO 8CA is perfectly suited for nearfield sound reinforcement and intelligible music playback: bars and restaurants, shops, multipurpose rooms, classrooms, corporate spaces, places of worship, museums, as well as voice reinforcement and background music during events. Its Line / Mic selector facilitates source adaptation, while the Link output allows chaining a second speaker to cover a larger area.

Class D Amplification and Controlled Dynamics

The Class D amplification delivers a comfortable power of 200 + 100W rms (and 400 + 200W max ) to maintain headroom even at high levels. With a continuous max SPL of 120dB and a peak max SPL of 125dB, the CANTO 8CA can provide energetic sound coverage while preserving clarity, especially for vocals and spoken content.

8-inch Speaker + 1-inch Driver: Balance and Precision

The low/mid section is based on an Ø8-inch (210mm) speaker with a Ø2-inch (51mm) voice coil, while the high frequencies are handled by a tweeter with a Ø1-inch (25.4mm) driver and a Ø1.4-inch (35.5mm) voice coil. This combination allows balanced reproduction, with a frequency response from 50Hz to 20kHz, suitable for both background music and announcements or speech.

80deg x 80deg Coverage and Quick Adjustments

The 80deg x 80deg dispersion promotes even coverage, useful to limit overly loud or quiet zones in the room. Regarding adjustments, everything is designed to focus on essentials: volume potentiometer, DSP with 4 presets to tailor the curve according to use, HPF filter to optimize the low end when used with a subwoofer or to control bass in installations, and a Line / Mic level selector to match the input to the signal.

Integration: 35mm Mount and Mounting Options

For setup, the speaker features a Ø35mm socket for a speaker stand, convenient for gigs or temporary installations. For a more discreet and adjustable integration, an adjustable mounting bracket (WM-68) is available sold separately, ideal for optimizing the dispersion angle in a room.
