Born from the bold spirit of Fender guitars of the sixties, the California Vintage Malibu adopts the historic codes (angled 6-in-line headstock, retro look, neat binding) and combines them with contemporary luthiery. It sits at the heart of the California Vintage range as the elegant and portable "concert" model, ready for today's stage.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Thanks to its short scale length and very manageable Modern V neck, this electro-acoustic is suitable for ambitious beginners as well as intermediate and advanced guitarists. Ideal for folk, pop, indie, fingerstyle, and vocal accompaniment, it excels both in the studio and on stage thanks to its soundhole electronics.
Sound
The solid Sitka spruce top provides attack and definition, while the solid ovangkol (back/sides) delivers warm mids and silky highs. The Performance-X bracing opens up projection and sustain, with a nuanced response at both low and high dynamics. Plugged in, the piezo/body sensor blend reproduces a natural, precise tone controllable directly at the edge of the soundhole.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Factory strung with .012-.052 phosphor bronze, it easily accepts acoustic steel string sets of equivalent gauge. A standard steel acoustic capo, a strap with classic attachments, a soundhole humidifier, and a stable stand ideally complement the instrument. A vintage-style hard case is included.
