A 1959 Icon Revisited by the Fender Custom Shop
Born at the crossroads of the 50s and 60s, the '59 Strat introduced the slabboard rosewood fingerboard and legendary metallic finishes like "Shoreline Gold." This Custom Shop version retains the spirit and key specs of the era while benefiting from subtle "Journeyman" aging: a breathable nitro finish, measured wear marks, and the feel of a well-played guitar ready for the stage.

Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, this Strat excels in blues, rock, surf, pop, and funk. The 9.5" radius and Narrow Tall 6105 frets facilitate clean bends and low action setups, while the 1959 "D" neck offers a generous grip without sacrificing speed.
The Sound
The alder/maple/rosewood combination delivers a very "Strat" balance: firm lows, singing mids, and chiseled highs. The hand-wound Fat '60s pickups provide that "glassy" grain with body, ideal for crisp cleans as well as dynamic crunch.
