The Hammertone Fuzz keeps it straightforward with three classic controls: Level, Tone, and Fuzz. This is complemented by an Octave switch that activates an upper octave circuit: more volume, more treble, and a more "electrified" note decay, perfect for solos and punchy riffs.

To fine-tune the response with single-coil pickups or very bright amps, Fender added an internal tone adjustment (trim-pot) to tame the highest frequencies or, conversely, allow maximum bite.
