Throughout U2's career, Adam Clayton's bass has delivered lines that are simple, deep, and incredibly effective. This Fender Adam Clayton Jazz Bass captures the Jazz Bass DNA with a premium aesthetic (Sherwood Green Metallic, chrome hardware, white pearloid "Block" inlays) and a decidedly big organic sound approach thanks to Custom Shop electronics inspired by the 1960s.

This bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced musicians seeking a premium, expressive, and precise Jazz Bass, equally suited for studio and stage. Perfect for rock, pop, indie, funk, and any situation where a solid low end, clear attack, and excellent mix definition are desired. The custom "C" profile neck and the narrow nut typical of Jazz Bass make fast runs and pick playing easier.
Sound
The alder body provides a very musical balance: firm lows, present mids, and clear highs, ideal for maintaining clarity even with effects or high volume. The two Custom Shop '60s Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups offer a wide palette: neck pickup for a deep, warm roundness, bridge pickup for more bite and definition, and both combined for that vintage-style Jazz Bass "growl." The High-Mass bridge enhances note sustain and stability while preserving the instrument's classic spirit.

The bass comes with a Black Hardshell case, ideal for transport and protection. It is factory-strung with Fender 7250M Nickel Plated Steel Roundwound Long Scale (.045-.105) strings: to retain the original feel, this gauge and "long scale" format are a safe choice.
