An excellent foundation for those who like to sculpt their sound directly from the instrument.

The sound

The SS configuration with two Vintage-Style Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups delivers the typical blend: a generous, round neck pickup, a tighter and snappier bridge pickup, and when combined, a balanced sound with great definition. The Volume 1 (middle pickup), Volume 2 (bridge pickup), and Master Tone controls allow quick transitions between warm, biting snap, or a very versatile compromise. The 4-Saddle Vintage-Style bridge contributes to stability and an "old school" attack character, while the rosewood fingerboard helps slightly soften the high end for a musical and less aggressive output.

This bass comes strung with Nickel Plated Steel (.045-.105) strings: you can keep this gauge to preserve the original feel and balance. For transport, the compatible case recommended by the manufacturer is the Classic Series Precision/Jazz Bass Wood Hardshell Case, P/N 0996166306 (not included).
