An Acoustasonic in Jazzmaster format: Fender innovation for the stage

The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster follows the line of Fender hybrid instruments designed for modern guitarists: a hollow body inspired by the brand's iconic shapes, combined with advanced electronics that allow blending and transforming textures. Made in Corona, California, it holds a premium position in the Acoustasonic series, featuring a larger format that favors breadth and presence.

Who is it for, and what styles?

This electro-acoustic guitar is especially aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists who want a single instrument capable of covering multiple roles: acoustic accompaniment, punchy rhythms, more aggressive humbucker-style tones, and hybrid sound layers. Ideal for pop, rock, indie, soul, worship, film music, or any studio and stage situation where flexibility is key without sacrificing playing comfort.

The sound

The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and a mahogany back and sides delivers an acoustic character that is both precise and warm, with good projection and well-grounded lows, enhanced by the large Jazzmaster-inspired body. The ebony fingerboard adds attack and definition, useful for complex chord playing as well as single-note passages.

On the electronics side, the guitar uses three complementary sources: the piezo under the saddle for acoustic snap and dynamics, the internal body sensor for "body" feel and air, and the Shawbucker magnetic pickup for a denser, more aggressive, electric-typed response. The 5-position selector and "Blend/Mod" potentiometer allow navigating between distinct voices and gradual blends to achieve particularly inspiring hybrid tones.

Recommended compatible accessories

To maintain the original feel and balance, plan for a replacement set of Fender Dura-Tone 860CL phosphor bronze coated strings (.011-.052) identical to the factory-installed set.
