Designed in the spirit of the most inspiring Stratocasters, this Eric Johnson Signature pre-wired pickguard combines component and pickup choices focused on definition, playing response, and balance. The goal is clear: to achieve an authentic "Strat" palette, but with added presence and control to seamlessly transition from rhythm to lead without losing articulation.

Who is it for and what styles?

Ideal if you want to upgrade your 11-hole Stratocaster with a ready-to-install set, without undertaking a full rewiring. It suits both crisp clean tones and expressive crunches, with particularly pleasant intermediate positions for funk, pop, blues, and rock, regardless of the amplifier.

A balanced SSS pickup set, from bass to treble

The neck pickup is inspired by a '54 Strat pickup with oversized Alnico 3 magnets for a smooth attack and rich harmonics. The middle pickup, based on a '63 Strat pickup, uses specially treated Alnico magnets and a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity (RWRP) coil to reduce background noise when combined with the neck or bridge pickups. The bridge pickup, equipped with Alnico 5 magnets, is designed to be warmer while retaining bright trebles: perfect for leads that stand out in the mix without harshness.
