Sound
The P+J combination offers the woody punch and "growl" of a Precision split-coil, complemented by the articulation of a Jazz bridge pickup. The Ultra II Noiseless pickups eliminate hum while preserving attack. The active preamp (S-1) provides boost/cut for bass and treble, boost/cut for mids plus a passive tone control, with a mini-switch to select 325 Hz or 750 Hz mid frequency. Alder ensures a natural frequency balance, and the ebony fingerboard adds definition and clarity to transients.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Replacement set identical to the original Fender 7250M strings (long scale 34", .045-.105). Long scale 4-string sets with .045-.105 gauge (nickel) or flatwound long scale strings for a mellower sound. 6.35 mm straight or angled instrument cable, clip-on tuner, and bass stand.
