American Ultra II: The Precision Bass DNA Taken to the Max

Designed for bassists who want a modern Precision without sacrificing Fender character, the American Ultra II Precision Bass sits at the top of the range: refined ergonomics, advanced electronics, and premium finishes. This limited edition in Aurora finish combines a selected alder body with a roasted maple neck for a fast, stable, and decidedly contemporary playing feel.

For Whom and Which Styles?

This bass is aimed at intermediate to expert musicians seeking a "no-compromise" instrument: precise settings, a wide tonal palette, and smooth playability across the entire neck. Its silent P/J configuration and active/passive mode make it particularly comfortable in pop, rock, funk, R&B, gospel, and studio settings, with instant transition between vintage warmth and modern attack.

The Sound

The selected alder body delivers a classic Fender balance: present low mids, firm lows, and clear highs, ideal for a Precision that needs to remain clear in the mix. The Ultra II Noiseless Vintage pickups provide the expected tonal character (roundness from the P and definition from the J) while eliminating hum, a major advantage on stage and in recording. The heart of the system is the redesigned preamp: you switch between active or passive via the S-1, retain a musical passive tone, and shape the spectrum with a 3-band EQ plus a mid-frequency selector (325 Hz for foundation, 750 Hz for bite). The HiMass bridge (string-through or top-load) enhances note sustain and stability, delivering solid sustain and a clear attack.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

This bass comes with a Deluxe Molded Case included, perfectly suited for transport. It is factory-strung with Fender 7250M strings in gauge .045-.105 (long scale), a coherent choice to maintain the balance and response of the preamp.
