The Fusion Series: Fender DNA, recalibrated for heavy rock
This Limited Edition from the Fusion Series takes an iconic Fender shape and refocuses it on essentials: efficiency, output level, and clarity. Here, the Precision Bass retains its physical presence and natural balance while adopting a beefier HH configuration and modern playability. The result: a bass built for contexts where the rhythm guitar is massive, the drums hit hard, and the bass line must remain clear without losing density.
Who is this Precision Bass HH for?
The Player Fusion Precision Bass HH targets intermediate to advanced bassists who want an immediately effective instrument for rock, hard rock, metal, punk, and all riff-driven styles. Its neck with a narrow nut width of 38.1 mm / 1.5" and Thin "C" profile offers a faster feel than a traditional Precision, facilitating movement, pick work, and technical passages.
For a motivated beginner, it remains fully accessible thanks to its natural feel and familiar ergonomics, while offering a power reserve that supports playing development: rehearsals, studio, gigs, and direct inputs where a solid, easy-to-place signal is sought.
A compact, punchy sound signature made to cut through the mix
With its two Fireball humbuckers (bridge and middle positions), this Precision HH delivers a direct response and a deep but controlled low end. The humbuckers provide output, density, and a "wall" of bass while maintaining presence in the mids to stay clear against distorted guitars.
The electronics are straightforward: Master Volume, Blend (to balance the middle and bridge pickups), and Master Tone. The blend allows switching from a fuller, rounder tone to a sharper, more focused attack without abrupt changes-useful for adapting the bass to a smoother verse or a more aggressive chorus.
On the build side, the alder body offers a natural balance between punch, present mids, and firm lows. The ebony fingerboard enhances attack feel, note precision, and clarity, especially appreciated in low tunings and pick attacks. The 4-saddle HiMass vintage-style bridge contributes to sustain and note stability, keeping lines tight and "tense" even when the band plays loud.
Recommended compatible accessories
To maintain the original feel and balance exactly, you can use a 34" / 864 mm long scale bass string set with a gauge of .045-.105, like the factory-installed Fender USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel (.045-.105). A Deluxe Gig Bag is included for daily transport.
