The Modern Strat That Respects Fender's DNA
Born from over sixty years of innovation, the American Professional II refines the iconic Stratocaster with improvements designed for today's musicians. It retains the familiar feel and highly sought-after "chimey" tone while offering a sculpted neck heel and expanded electronics for a reliable and inspiring stage instrument.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
Ideal for the ambitious beginner to the professional, this Strat adapts to pop, rock, funk, blues, indie, and soul repertoires. The SSS pickup set delivers snappy rhythms, crystalline arpeggios, and expressive leads, while the push-push adds textures close to a "Tele" wiring for more body in clean or slightly overdriven tones.
The Sound
The V-Mod II pickups are position-calibrated for precise balance: firm lows, singing mids, and bright highs without harshness. The alder body ensures a balanced and versatile response. The 2-point tremolo with cold-rolled steel block enhances attack, projection, and sustain. The Treble Bleed circuit maintains brightness when lowering the volume, and the rosewood fingerboard subtly softens the high frequencies for silky clean sounds and detailed overdrive.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To preserve the original feel and balance, opt for nickel-plated steel strings 9-42 (Fender reference 250L). Add a standard strap and a quality instrument jack cable. An electric guitar capo will fit without specific adjustment thanks to the 9.5" (241 mm) radius. Deluxe molded case already included.
