Fender's nod to the sixties "catalog guitars"
The Gold Foil Telecaster pays tribute to the catalog instruments that shaped the garage rock sound. It captures the timeless DNA of the Telecaster and adds the "Gold Foil" aesthetic for a piece that is vintage in spirit yet contemporary in execution, within the Fender Gold Foil series.
For which musician and styles?
Versatile and immediate, this Tele is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an instrument with a strong character. It excels in rock, indie, garage, blues, and soul, while offering enough clarity and attack for more modern textures both in the studio and on stage.
The sound
The Gold Foil mini-humbuckers deliver present mids, precise attack, and a slightly compressed grain-less massive than a full-size humbucker and beefier than a single coil. The mahogany body adds warmth and sustain, while the ebony fingerboard provides definition and quick response. The 3-position selector switch covers everything from the bridge's bite to the neck's round tones, with a middle position ideal for scooped rhythms. The Tele 3 brass saddle bridge preserves the typical Tele attack and excellent note sustain.
Recommended compatible accessories
Delivered with a Deluxe gig bag. For maintenance and stage use, opt for nickel electric strings 10-46 (original set), a standard strap, and a quality 6.35 mm jack cable. A hard case in Telecaster style will provide optimal protection during transport.
