Vintage Telecaster spirit, adapted for today's musicians
The Fender American Professional Classic Telecaster continues the legacy of the electric guitars that built the brand's reputation: simple, expressive and instantly recognizable. It features the visual codes cherished by fans of historic models, with its alder Telecaster body, three-ply Mint Green pickguard, nickel/chrome hardware and three-saddle brass bridge.
However, this American Professional Classic version is more than a retro reinterpretation. It introduces solutions designed to meet the demands of the stage and studio, including the Fender Silent System. This passive, battery-free technology helps preserve a cleaner signal when playing with gain, under powerful lighting or near electrical equipment.
A versatile Telecaster for the stage, studio and expressive playing
This electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate, advanced and professional guitarists looking for a reliable, comfortable and nuanced Telecaster. Its Modern "C" neck profile offers a natural feel: it is equally suited to powerful rhythm accompaniment and faster lead lines.
The maple key with a 9.5" / 241 mm radius offers an appealing balance between chord comfort and bending precision. The Medium Jumbo frets facilitate vibrato, string bends and dynamic playing without requiring excessive pressure. With its long 25.5" / 648 mm scale length, the instrument maintains a taut, precise response that is particularly effective for tight rhythms.
The American Professional Classic Telecaster naturally fits into country, rock, blues, pop, indie, funk and alternative music. Its responsiveness also makes it well suited to exploring more modern textures with overdrive, compression, modulation or delay pedals, while maintaining excellent clarity in a mix.
Telecaster bite, with more silence and control
The alder body provides a balanced tonal foundation, with present mids, defined highs and lows that are firm enough to maintain precision at high volume. Combined with the maple neck and key, it promotes a crisp, fast attack typical of Fender electric guitars with a long scale length.
The two Coastline '63 Telecaster single-coil pickups form the sonic heart of this guitar. The bridge pickup delivers the twang, snap and bite sought after in a Telecaster: it excels at cutting rhythms, lively riffs and slightly overdriven tones. The neck pickup offers a rounder, deeper register, particularly suited to blues lines, mellow accompaniment and singing solos.
The combined position expands the tonal palette with a more balanced, clear and percussive sound. The Fender Silent System preserves the authenticity of the single-coil pickups while reducing the unwanted noise usually associated with this configuration. The Greasebucket tone circuit lets you roll off the highs without excessively changing the character of the signal: a useful solution for smoothing out overdrive or adjusting the brightness of an already very bright amplifier.
The string-through-body Telecaster bridge and its three cylindrical brass saddles contribute to the instrument's sonic identity. This design promotes a direct response, pronounced attack and generous sustain. The staggered Fender ClassicGear tuners complete the package with precise tuning stability while retaining a decidedly vintage appearance.
Recommended compatible accessories
This Telecaster comes with a Deluxe Gig Bag, which is practical for everyday travel. For more protective transport, a hard case designed for Telecaster-style guitars is recommended. Nickel-plated electric guitar strings in .009-.042 gauge are directly suited to the original setup and help preserve the soft touch intended by the manufacturer. An electric guitar strap can also be added for playing while standing.
