A timeless "Vintage 2" dreadnought in the spirit of Furch
The Furch Vintage 2 Dreadnought D SR embodies a handcrafted approach focused on musicality and elegance. Its "worn" presentation highlights the identity of the Vintage 2 series, with a warm finish and meticulous details (purflings, rosette, and inlays) that enhance its premium character without excess.
For which guitarists and styles?
This acoustic guitar is aimed at intermediate to advanced musicians seeking a dreadnought capable of holding its own in a mix, both solo and in a band. It excels in energetic strumming, vocal accompaniment, and in folk, blues, and acoustic rock genres. Its balance and projection also make it an excellent foundation for precise pick rhythms while remaining expressive in more nuanced playing.
Sound
The combination of solid Sitka spruce and solid rosewood is a classic for achieving a sound that is both powerful and detailed. The Sitka provides clarity, attack, and a wide dynamic range, while the rosewood enriches the register with deep lows, bright highs, and a very pleasant harmonic complexity on open chords. The dreadnought format enhances projection and the sense of body, with generous sustain, particularly relevant for broad rhythms and accompaniments that need to "carry".
