Essential Information About the Genelec 8341A Studio Monitor
- 3-way coaxial point source "The Ones": ultra-precise imaging, phase coherence, and fatigue-free listening.
- More infra and higher level than the 8331A: extended LF range and higher SPL capacity for short to medium listening distances.
- GLM/GLM2 calibration with integrated DSP: room compensation, distance delay management, and alignment in mono, stereo, or immersive setups.
- Professional connectivity and flexibility: analog and digital AES/EBU XLR inputs, vertical or horizontal orientation, IsoPod stand included.
At the Heart of the "The Ones" Series
The 8341A continues the legacy of Genelec's reference coaxial monitors. As the bigger brother of the very compact 8331A, it adopts the "point source" philosophy to deliver an exceptionally stable stereo image while increasing bass extension and headroom. This allows you to benefit from the legendary precision of the series with more margin for slightly larger rooms and longer listening positions.
For Whom and For What Uses?
Designed for sound engineers, producers, broadcast mixers, and post-production professionals, the 8341A excels at close and medium distances. It facilitates quick and reliable decisions on tonal balance, spatialization, and dynamics. Its natural soundstage reduces fatigue during long editing, mixing, or mastering sessions, and ensures excellent translation across all playback systems.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Genelec 8341 AP suitable for nearfield and midfield mixing?
Designed for nearfield and midfield listening, this monitor reaches 118 dB SPL at 1 m peak. Its 3-way architecture promotes a stable stereo image during mixing, broadcast, and post-production.
What frequency response does this monitor speaker offer?
The frequency response spans from 38 Hz to 37 kHz at -6 dB, with linearity of ±1.5 dB between 45 Hz and 20 kHz.
Can the 8341 AP be calibrated according to room acoustics?
The onboard DSP works with the GLM/GLM2 software to measure and correct frequency response. Calibration also adjusts distance delay and discrepancies between positions. An RJ45 connector is provided for integration with the GLM system.
What inputs are available on the Genelec 8341 AP?
Available connections include an analog XLR input, an AES/EBU input, and an RJ45 port. Bluetooth is not integrated.
Is the IsoPod stand provided and what are the dimensions?
The supplied IsoPod stand provides mechanical decoupling and allows the speaker to be angled towards the listening position. The enclosure measures 350 x 237 x 243 mm and reaches 370 mm in height with the IsoPod. Its weight is 9.8 kg.
