Getzen ETERNA 800 CLEAR LACQUER

The Eterna Series: A Must-Have Range Among Modern Cornets

Designed for musicians seeking nuance and character, the cornets of the Eterna series have established themselves thanks to a successful balance between musicality, playing comfort, and careful finishing. This series, quickly gaining popularity, clearly targets players who want an inspiring cornet for everyday use, with a warm sound identity and craftsmanship built to last.

For Which Musicians and Styles?

This Eterna cornet in Bb tuning is aimed at advanced amateurs as well as professional musicians looking for an instrument capable of holding its own in rehearsals and on stage. The cornet, rounder and more lyrical than a trumpet, is particularly comfortable in fanfare, brass band, wind orchestra, but also in variety music and repertoires where a softer tone and flexible articulation are preferred.

Sound and Design

With its 11.68 mm bore, this cornet offers a good compromise between ease of sound production and projection, while maintaining the instrument's typical roundness. The two-piece hand-hammered bell contributes to a livelier timbre sensation, with beautiful presence and an interesting color in the midrange. The brass mouthpiece receiver promotes direct contact and a clear response, while the nickel silver slides provide durability and long-term stability.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

Supplied with a 7C mouthpiece and a "Luxe" suitcase case, this cornet is already equipped to start playing under good conditions. For maintenance, a brass cleaning kit (brushes + cloth) and slide grease are essentials to keep the slides smooth and the pistons responsive.
