Gewa Vision TR172 Bb Lacquered

A GEWA Trumpet Designed to Combine Reliability and Playing Pleasure

With the GEWA Germany range, the goal is clear: to offer instruments with serious assembly, refined finishes, and immediate playability. This trumpet fits this philosophy with musician-oriented design choices, such as a bell crafted for clarity and a rose brass leadpipe to promote a flexible response. All this is complemented by a high-end lacquer finish that protects the instrument while maintaining a classic aesthetic.

For Which Musicians and Styles?

This trumpet is particularly suited for advanced beginners, conservatory students, and intermediate musicians seeking a stable instrument capable of supporting technical development (articulation, endurance, tuning). Its ML bore and overall balance make it comfortable in classical, wind ensemble, brass band, pop, and jazz (notably for bright and precise playing). It can also serve as a robust "workhorse" trumpet for rehearsals and travel, thanks to the included case.

Sound, Response, and Finish: An Instrument That Speaks Easily

The ML bore (11.68 mm) offers a well-appreciated compromise: enough airflow to support strong projection while maintaining comfortable resistance that helps center the notes. The 120 mm brass bell, made in two pieces, promotes a clear sound with strong presence, enriching the harmonic spectrum for a fuller tone.

The rose brass leadpipe contributes to a smoother playing feel and easier attack, useful for gaining control over dynamics. In terms of feel, the stainless steel pistons paired with aluminum pistoncaps aim for a responsive and consistent action. Finally, the high-end GEWA lacquer finish protects the instrument daily and highlights the bell's lines with a rim.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To get the best out of this trumpet daily, plan for piston oil, slide grease, and a trumpet cleaning snake (for tube and slide maintenance). A trumpet stand is also practical for rehearsals and home use.
