Born in the late 1950s, the ES-335 set the standard for semi-hollow guitars by combining the elegance of a hollow body with the stability of a center block. The Figured version emphasizes aesthetics, featuring a AAA flamed maple top and back with cream binding, while retaining the versatility and playability that made the model famous.

The Sound
The 3-ply maple/poplar/maple sandwich, combined with the maple center block, produces present mids, firm lows, and silky highs. The lightweight and rigid Adirondack spruce bracing enhances projection while reducing weight. The T-Type humbuckers deliver a clear and articulate tone, inspired by PAF pickups, with great dynamics in clean settings and definition that holds up perfectly under overdrive. Hand-wiring and Orange Drop capacitors provide a smooth tone sweep, while the aluminum ABR-1/Stop Bar set adds attack and sustain.
