An ES Heritage in a High-End "Figured" Version
Born in the late 1950s, the ES-335 set the standard for the modern semi-hollow guitar. This "Figured" variant showcases beautifully wavy AAA maple veneers and refined craftsmanship. It sits at the top of the ES-335 range, combining premium aesthetics with the traditional architecture that made the model famous.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
Versatile and expressive, the ES-335 Figured is suitable for intermediate to expert musicians seeking a unique guitar for blues, jazz, soul, classic rock, and pop. Its responsive dynamics and playing comfort make it an ideal partner both in the studio and on stage.
The Sound
The semi-hollow body with a maple center block offers a subtle balance between airiness and attack, with generous sustain and reduced feedback at high volumes. The calibrated T-Type humbucker pickups deliver a vintage grain: tight lows, singing mids, and clear highs. Hand-wiring, Orange Drop capacitors, 2 volume/2 tone controls, and a 3-position toggle switch allow for fine nuances, from smooth jazz to bluesy crunch and articulate rock. The nitro lacquer promotes wood breathing, adding projection and harmonic richness.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Hard case included for secure transport. We recommend a nickel string set 10-46 to preserve the Gibson scale tension/feel balance, a quality leather strap for stage use, as well as a microfiber cloth and nitro-compatible cleaner for maintenance.
