Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
With a heritage spanning generations, Gretsch designed the Renegade series as a "turnkey" solution to access the brand's universe without complexity. The Renegade Fusion is positioned at the entry-level, with a simple philosophy: to offer a coherent, reliable, and complete set that covers the essentials for learning, rehearsing, and playing in small settings. The "Ruby Sparkle" rhodoid finish features a classic stage look, immediately recognizable and very flattering on stage.
Who This Drum Set Is For
The Gretsch Renegade Fusion 20-inch is primarily aimed at beginner and intermediate drummers who want a serious first acoustic kit without additional purchases. Its Fusion size is ideal for young musicians, limited spaces, and frequent transportation. Style-wise, it performs well in pop, rock, funk, and contemporary music, thanks to a responsive bass drum, easy-to-control toms, and a configuration that favors steady playing as well as quick fills.
