An Electromatic Jet Designed for Power and Gretsch Fidelity

Within the Electromatic Collection, the Electromatic Premier Jet stands out as a particularly refined model, designed to offer a "high-end" playing experience and sonic versatility. The Jet format, with its single cutaway and iconic aesthetics, targets both stage performance and studio precision. The Onyx Storm finish, aged binding, and premium details (Luminlay side dots, ebony fingerboard with binding, nickel hardware) enhance this typically Gretsch blend of elegance and character.

Who Is It For, and Which Styles?

This electric guitar is aimed at a wide audience: intermediate players looking for a reliable and inspiring instrument, as well as experienced musicians who want a responsive Jet capable of moving from crystal-clear clean tones to gritty overdrive without struggling in the mix. Thanks to its HH configuration and smart settings, it performs well in rock, blues, pop, indie, and all genres where definition under gain is sought. The compound radius and 22 frets support both precise rhythm playing and leads with bends and vibrato.

The Sound

The core personality of this Jet comes from the combination of chambered mahogany and a solid maple top. The mahogany provides a warm foundation, dense mids, and natural sustain, while the maple adds attack and clarity, useful for keeping treble notes clear in open chords and power chords alike. The chambered (hollowed) body design contributes to a more "lively" response, with enhanced resonance and appreciated comfort during long sessions.

On the amplification side, the two Sphera Twin Six humbuckers cover a very usable range: the neck pickup delivers round and expressive tones, ideal for blues lines, smooth arpeggios, or singing solos. The bridge pickup offers a sharper attack with bite that helps it cut through the mix, perfect for riffs, more aggressive rock, and articulate crunch. The middle position (bridge + neck) balances everything, providing rich chords and a full tone, useful for pop and rhythmic rock.

The electronics are designed to remain musical in all circumstances. The Master Volume with treble-bleed circuit limits treble loss when lowering the volume, allowing you to clean up a saturated sound directly from the guitar without becoming dull or muffled. The two no-load tone controls (one dedicated to the neck pickup, one to the bridge pickup) allow, at maximum position, to bypass the tone circuit for a more direct and open signal. Finally, the push-pull on the Master Volume engages the Lumen Filter to broaden the palette, useful for refining presence and texture depending on the amp and effects.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To maintain the original feel and balance, a 010-046 electric string set (nickel steel) is the safest choice, matching the factory-installed gauge. For neck adjustments, a 4 mm hex wrench fits the indicated truss rod nut, handy for adjusting neck relief according to your gauge and tuning.
