Streamliner: The Gretsch Spirit, Designed for Today's Stage
With the Streamliner series, Gretsch updates its most iconic codes by adding decidedly contemporary choices. The G2622T fits this approach: an instantly recognizable look, modern playability, and performance-oriented electronics. The Center Block design with a central block provides more sustain and stability while preserving the visual character and DNA of Gretsch semi-hollow guitars.
For Which Guitarists and Styles
The Gretsch G2622T is aimed at motivated beginners as well as intermediate players who want an expressive and rewarding electric guitar without compromising on style. Its natural playground includes rock, blues, indie, pop, and anything that requires a guitar both warm and capable of cutting through the mix. The double-cut body facilitates access to higher frets, and the Bigsby invites subtle vibratos, wavering chords, and vintage-style leads.
The Sound
The G2622T combines a laminated maple body with a Center Block construction: you get the roundness and fullness typical of a semi-hollow with more control at high volumes. The two Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups deliver a full register, rich in low-mids, ideal for rock riffs and lush chords. Thanks to the 3-position selector and individual volumes, you can precisely balance the neck and bridge pickups, then shape the overall tone with the master tone. The coil splitting via push/pull opens up airier, more articulate textures, perfect for snappier rhythms or defined arpeggios.

Questions frequently asked
Is the G2622T Streamliner Bigsby suitable for rock and blues?
The two Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups deliver generous low-mids, ideal for rock riffs and rich blues chords. The laminated maple body with center block maintains warmth while providing more control at high volume.
Does the Bigsby B70 fit on this Gretsch?
A Bigsby B70 is paired with an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, allowing for subtle vibratos and shimmering chord effects.
Can the pickups be switched to single-coil mode?
The push/pull pots split the coils of the Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups. This grants access to more airy and articulate tones suitable for arpeggios or funky rhythms. The three-way selector, individual volumes, and master tone control then allow blending the pickup mix.
