The Jet Electromatic: Gretsch DNA, accessible and stage-ready
The G5222 Electromatic Double Jet BT carries the iconic Gretsch "Jet" aesthetic and spirit, oriented towards a more versatile and powerful approach thanks to the Broad'Tron pickups. The Jet shape and chambered construction maintain that lively response and characteristic tone, while the electronics designed for control (including treble bleed) allow switching between registers without losing presence.
Who is it for, and what styles?
This electric guitar is aimed at ambitious beginners as well as intermediate players who want a solid-body with a vintage look but modern behavior. It excels in rock, indie, blues, pop, and alternative rock, and also delivers clean, clear, and articulate tones. Its 24.6" / 625 mm scale length promotes a flexible feel under the fingers, ideal for expressive playing and rich chords.
Sound
The chambered mahogany duo (warmth, sustain, low mids) and arched maple top (attack, definition, brightness) provide a balanced foundation, both round and precise. The Black Top Broad'Tron pickups easily push the amp into thick overdrive while maintaining great chord clarity and a clear clean sound when the volume is turned down. The master volume with treble bleed is a real advantage: you reduce gain without "muffling" the highs, convenient for switching from a saturated chorus to a cleaner verse without adjusting the amp.
