Designed to make the iconic Gretsch "big sound" accessible, the Electromatic series incorporates the brand's historic codes (double-cut, elegant binding, Bigsby vibrato) while adding a Center Block design. The result: the resonance of a semi-hollow, the gain handling of a solid-body, and perfect versatility for both stage and studio.

Ideal for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a semi-hollow comfortable in rock, rockabilly, blues, pop, indie, and up to moderate hard rock. The thin "U" neck profile offers modern comfort for open chord playing as well as riffs and leads across the entire fretboard.
Sound
The Black Top Broad'Tron pickups deliver precise attack, present mids, and clear highs, with enough output to push an amp into crunch. The spruce center block adds sustain and controls feedback, while the laminated maple provides brightness and projection. The electronics combine dedicated volumes (neck/bridge) with a Master Volume featuring treble bleed to retain highs when lowering the volume, plus an effective Master Tone. The Bigsby B70 enriches the tone with a slight shimmer without altering the attack.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To maintain the original feel and balance: nickel 10-46 strings for electric guitar. A capo for electrics (12" radius) will perfectly match the fretboard curvature. A sturdy strap with reinforced holes fits the Gretsch Knurled Strap Retainer Knobs.
